Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has gone on to admit that his side might not be ready to take on Swansea in the Premier League tonight. City are set to play host to the newly promoted team at the Etihad Stadium tonight, but following the start that
the promoted teams had in their initial days in the Premier League, Mancini has started to grow in concern regarding the match.
When talking about the match and facing off against a newly promoted team, Mancini is quoted to have said: "When you start the season and you play against a team that comes from the Championship, it is really difficult.”
The manager then went on to admit that last season’s performances from the Championship sides is what had him on the edge of his seat, since history was more than likely to repeat itself once again.
"Last year, with all the teams that came from the Championship, it was very hard to play against them in the first 10 games and it will be the same this year.

“But this is why the Premier League is difficult - every game is hard."

The manager then went on to admit that another reason for his concerns is down to the fact that his side is not yet a hundred percent ready. He feels certain members of the team need more time getting used to the team’s tactics and the new signings are yet
to fit into the squad.
Mancini then went on to add: "I think the first 10 games are very difficult for us – the squad is not 100% ready.”
The manager then admitted that it was going to take up to five games for his team to be up and running and full power and in order for them to be able to compete for a title in the Premier League.

"It needs four or five games to find good form for the players. If we complete our squad, we can fight for the title this year.
Despite Mancini’s concerns, it is more than likely for City to come out on top from their encounter with Swansea. Despite the City squad not being a hundred percent fit, they still have more quality and talent in their squad when compared to the newly promoted
side and that is what is going to be the difference in the game.
Unless City go on to have a catastrophic game, they are more than likely to end the night with three points.
