Roberto Mancini confident over Manchester City beating Bayern Munich – Champions League Update
Manchester City manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini has claimed that his side are going to go all out and beat Bayern Munich and nothing less than three points would do.
City drew their first ever game in the Champions League, as the team went on to pull off a one all draw with Italian side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003.
However, following the game, when Mancini was asked if his side would be looking to beat Munich and the manager responded by stating that his side would pick up the win against Munich and he was sure of that.
Prior to the game, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 was once again asked if his side were still looking to pick up all three points against the Germans and the manager once again remained firm on his previous assessment, as he claimed:
"We are not here to lose. We know it will be difficult but we want to win if possible.”
"I am certainly satisfied with the progress we have made, even if we need to improve a lot.”
"This is the second game for us in the Champions League. Now we are a good team.”
"But if we want to arrive on the top like Bayern Munich, who have such a big history, we need to work very hard."
Going into the game, the manager is set to face a massive dilemma when choosing his strikers. The team’s entire strike force is currently operating at a maximum and hence the manager doesn’t know who to start and who to bench. When talking about the situation
that he finds himself in, Mancini is quoted to have said: "I will decide the team tomorrow. I am sure that I can choose well because I have http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 [Aguero] to pick from."
City and Munich have both had rather brilliant starts to their domestic seasons. Both the teams have been winning games left and right and don’t seem to be looking to stop anytime soon.
As a result, many are hailing this game as the first real test that both the teams will be facing. Munich are easily the more experienced team in the tie, but given that most of the players in City have already played on the European stage before, City might
be able to push Munich till the very last minute.
Despite that fact, Munich are more than likely to have a massive help in the shape of the home fans and hence many are currently favouring the Germans to come out on top at the end of the game.
