Roberto Mancini disappointed with Manchester City’s draw against Fulham
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has gone on to admit that he is highly disappointed with his side drawing their Premier League game against Fulham.
The manager has admitted that his side all the chances in the world to kill off the game, but feels that the team’s lack of experience ended up costing two valuable points in the Premier League.
City took the lead in the game courtesy of two brilliantly taken goals by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193 Murphy.
No one expected City to get anything less than three points from the game, but this result has now gone on to prove that the team is not as unbeatable as everyone assumed them to be and should their opponents get their tactics right, they could potentially
get the better of the team.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323, when talking about the game is quoted to have said: “I think that it will be a lesson for us"
He then went on to admit that the ten minutes, during which Fulham went all out is where his team conceded the two points.
"We played well for 60 minutes and only scored two goals, that's the problem for us. Fulham, for 10-15 minutes played very well, they scored the first goal.”
Nonetheless, instead of being angry with his team, or showing any signs of discomfort, the manager has admitted that he is more disappointed than angry. He then added and stated that the main reason behind him not being furious, is because the goal that
City conceded took a massive deflection and was a fluke more than anything.
“I'm not angry, I'm disappointed because we conceded a stupid goal.”
City and Mancini now have fallen into the second spot behind United and this time around, the team isn’t trailing on a goal difference, but are actually trailing the Red Devils by two points as well.
That being said, most experts believe that it will only be a matter of time before United go on and drop a point or two and when that does happen, City are more than likely to be lurking in the shadows to take over the number one spot.
At the moment, City and United are the only two teams that seem to be in contention for the Premier League title, but considering the way the rest of the top teams are performing, it might just be down to the two teams in the end.
