Manchester City’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini has gone on to extend his stay with the Manchester based club, as he put pen to paper on a five year contract extension.
The Italian manager is now tied down to the club till 2017 and this could allow him to shape and mould the team according to his liking.
It was previously believed that the club and the manager were looking to extend his stay by three years. However, with him winning the Premier League with the club it seems like the owners are more than happy with the way things have been going at the club.
When talking about his extension with the club and his plans for the future, the City manager is quoted to have said: "I am delighted to be able to give all of my efforts to Manchester City for a further five years.”
"The opportunity which exists to build on our recent success is enormous. Manchester City is a fantastic football club, from the owner, chairman, Board and the executive team, through to the players, staff and fans.”

"I am very much looking forward to the challenges and excitement ahead."
City's interim chief executive officer John MacBeath, has also gone on to praise the manager, as he believes that he is just the right person to help guide the club to richer pastures in the future.
"Roberto's managerial credentials have been well proven in Europe for many years and in leading a team which has won the FA Cup and an unforgettable Barclays Premier League title in successive seasons, his ability to manage in the English domestic game is
also undisputed," he said.
With City claiming the league title, they are now going to be looking to making a move for the Champions League this coming season.
So far, City haven’t gone on to make any changes to their squad. However, given http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323’s tactics in the transfer market, he is bound to make a number of shrewd signings in the coming weeks.
It is now up to Mancini to ensure that City improve on their performances from this past season, as they look to establish themselves as one of the major forces in the footballing world.
