Manchester City manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini has gone on to reveal that he is confident over the fact that Owen Hargreaves can one day play for England again.
The midfielder made his long awaited debut for City last night, as he started the game against Birmingham City in the Carling Cup. This game was the first game that Hargreaves had played in months, but he seemed to be operating at a maximum as he went on
to score a belter and spent sixty minutes on the pitch without picking up a single injury.
As a result, it seems like Mancini is confident that the player can finally be back to his best and this in turn could pave a way back for him into http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749’s football team, once again.
“He has played 60 minutes for us and now he needs to recover very well,” Mancini told the media.
The manager then admitted that the key was to not overplay the player and pace him back to his former self, which would be brilliant for City, England and the player.
“It’s important we don’t overdo it with him because if he can become the fantastic player he was, I think he will be important for us and also for the England team.”
Hargreaves currently has forty two caps for England, but hasn’t made an international apaperance for the team since 2008.
The player has spent a massive amount of his season in the Premier League table on the recovery table and this also caused him to be dropped by Manchester United. However, should he be able to maintain his form, then Mancini feels that he could replace Scott
