Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has gone on to confirm that City are looking to sell Carlos Tevez and are not going to let the player leave as part of a loan deal.
The Argentine striker has been dropped by City, following his actions and decision to not come off the bench in a Champions League game against Bayern Munich. Since then, the striker has been put on a lock out and he is now looking to make a move out of
the club.
Italian side AC Milan have shown the most interest in the player, but the team seems more intent on signing the player as part of a loan deal, instead of tying him down permanently.
Nonetheless, Mancini believes that it would be preferable for his side to let the player leave on a permanent deal, instead of loaning him out, as they look to minimize their losses.
Mancini also feels that it is wrong to see Tevez sitting out on the sidelines with nothing to do and that it would be better for everyone, if the player came back to play football for a top European club.
"I hope we can find a good solution for us and Carlos"
"We want Carlos to come back and play football and the best solution for us is to sell him. We can't let him leave on loan."
However, the manager seems adamant on selling the player and not letting him leave on a loan, as he wishes to minimize his losses.
The Italian feels that City have to always pay top dollar for their players, but end up sending them on loan, when it is time to sell them.
"When Manchester City buy a player, they have to pay a lot of money"
"But when we want to sell them, they have to go on loan. This is not good. It is not correct for the other players.”
Mancini then ended by listing the teams that wish to buy the player, but still insists that they still have to pay the asking price for him the Argentine.
"Manchester City paid Carlos a lot of money for three years. It is correct that if one club, it could be Milan, Juventus, PSG, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567, want him, they pay Carlos for his value. This is correct."
Tevez himself has admitted that he would rather play for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Boca-Juniors-c38658, but the way things are shaping up, it is not up to the striker to decide his future.
