The Manchester City manager has admitted that it is difficult to bring about a change in Tevez’s attitude at Manchester City but he does want more respect from the Argentinean starlet for club as well as for the coaching staff
at Manchester City...
Carlos Tevez played a huge role in Manchester City’s first title triumph in over 40 years last season as the Citizens marched onto win their first ever Premier League trophy under http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323. Mancini was central to City’s
title charge which saw them win the league crown on goal difference after finishing level on points with Manchester United.
Manchester City’s dressing room was in a constant state of tension and turmoil at the start of the season when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez was suspended by the club following his refusal to warm up as a substitute for the Premier League champions.
Tevez was asked my Mancini to get ready for a substitution when the striker refused to do so during a UEFA Champions League encounter against Bayern Munich, a match that City went onto lose.
The Italian tactician has had problems whilst dealing with Tevez as the striker has often complained of being unhappy at Manchester City and he almost left the club for Serie A giants, A.C Milan in the last winter transfer window.
However things are now better between the two individuals but Mancini admits that he cannot change Tevez’s attitude regardless of his presence at the club.
He said, "I don't think I can change Carlos. I just want respect, for me and for the club. We don't play and work because we earn some money - we start to play when we are young because we like football. I hope Carlos understands
that maybe he made some mistakes."
Manchester City’s other striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937 also had attitude problems last season with sending offs and other controversial moments throughout the season. Expanding on eradication of such erratic instances especially on the
field, Mancini contended, "This is impossible. With Mario, it is impossible. But, Carlos, maybe."
Roberto Mancini will hope that things can be kept under control next season as well as City’s main priority will be to defend their Premier League crown and do well in the UEFA Champions League as well where they were knocked out
in the group stages last time around.
