otherwise...
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini has come out and made it clear that he is not to be blamed for Adam Johnson’s failure to make it into the England national team squad for the 2012 European Championships. Johnson had come out earlier on and said
that Mancini had not given him enough first team opportunities at Manchester City and that is why Hodgson overlooked him and went with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 national team squad.
Mancini has found it hard to rotate his squad and keep everyone happy at the Etihad stadium despite the fact that Manchester City won the Premier League title last season. The Italian manager has tried to give Johnson some game
time in all fairness but other players and their top form has made it hard for the Englishman to break into the first team on a permanent basis.
Mancini is now busy preparing his team for the new Premier League season and where they will aim to defend their league crown against assaults from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and Manchester United. Johnson will hope that he gets more game time in
the new league campaign but this might be difficult given the amount of competition in City’s first team squad.
Mancini said, "Adam is in my plans, it’s not my fault he didn't play at the Euros. For the national team manager, it's difficult to choose a final squad of 23 players. Adam is a very good player and probably deserved to go, because
under Capello he played regularly.”
He added, "But Adam found himself in the same situation as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Micah-Richards-c25259, who is also a good player. Some players seem to think that when they don't play, it's the manager's fault. Adam is good enough to play at a top club, but
he has to play at the highest level all the time.”
