The Italian manager says that nothing is happening on the Carroll-Tevez swap front and that nothing will happen till the end of the transfer window as Manchester City are not interested and they haven’t spoken to Liverpool
on the matter as well...
Roberto Mancini has come and out and squashed talk surrounding the speculation that Manchester City and Liverpool were about to undertake a last minute transfer deal in the January transfer window as both the clubs wanted Carlos
Tevez and Andy Carroll to swap clubs. Tevez and Carroll have had tumultuous times at their own clubs in the English Premier League of late but the two clubs are not interested in doing business at the moment according to official reports.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez will now stay at Manchester City as well
as neither A.C Milan or http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan came up with a solid bid for the Argentinean who has had disciplinary issues at the Etihad stadium and has been left out of Manchester City’s starting line up and the first team squad altogether by Roberto Mancini.
On the other hand, Carroll’s lack of goal scoring form after his 35 million pound move from Newcastle United to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 has prompted criticism directed towards the Englishman as well who seems to be on a low run of form at the
moment.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini said in his interview, “I never heard of this. Carroll is a good player, he is young and strong but it would be difficult and I don't think [it is going to happen]. There was no phone call to me. I don't know if
Brian Marwood was involved. I just read it in the newspaper. “
He added, “I didn't speak to Marwood about this. My opinion about Carlos is that it is important he finds a good solution because he can stay for a year without playing. It is important that he plays, he is a top player. At the
moment no, because we have not talked about this with Liverpool. This is a new one for me."
