Manchester City manager, Roberto Mancini believes that his side now need to focus on their upcoming game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 in the Champions League, instead of spending time celebrating their win over Villarreal.
City went on to sneak in a very late two goals to one win over their Spanish opponents last night and since then http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 and his team have been on cloud nine. However, the manager is now looking forward to his clash with the Italian side on November 22nd,
as both the sides would be looking to pick up all three points, in order to ensure their qualification to the next round of the tournament.
When talking about his sides upcoming game against Napoli and whether or not it was going to be one of the most important games for City this season, Mancini responded by stating: "Yes, 100 per cent. I think that game will be very important.”
"Before this we will play the game in Villarreal and it's important we take all the points there.”
"But the game in Naples will be the crucial game. I don't know for which position, but first place is open."
Following http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero’s match winning goal, Mancini was spotted to have become rather ecstatic. The manager was celebrating the goal like his team had won a major tournament and he then went on to defend himself by claiming that the goal could potentially
see his side qualify on top for the knock out stages. Based on those comments, the manager feels that the goal should be considered as one, which won the team silverware.
"It was important for us to win this game," the Italian manager added.
"I hope this will be very important. It was important to win the first game in Champion League and now I think anything can happen in this group in terms of first place.”
City are now looking sharper than they have ever been and are looking to pose a real threat to their opponents in the Premier League and in the Champions League.
