The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 defender has admitted that the fans are expecting La Vinotinto to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in their history following their consistent performances in the qualifiers.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Venezuela-c3039 will have to keep on working extremely hard if they are to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
La Vinotinto have commenced their 2014 World Cup qualification campaign brightly, and are brimming with confidence to secure their place in the final competition in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 after claiming eight points in six games, which includes
a 1-0 win over the mighty Argentine on October 11, 2011.
And Rosales has now revealed that his side worked very hard to achieve a good result against La Albiceleste.
“We had some very intense preparations before our win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841. We’d worked hard. If we’re going to reach Brazil, though, we need to stick at it and keep on improving”, the former Gent stopper was quoted as saying to fifa.com.
The 23-year-old, who has thus far represented his national team in 38 matches, went on to express optimism about his side’s chances of qualifying for 2014 World Cup.
“Anything's possible when you want it and when you’ve got all the resources at your disposal. We need to maintain that mindset and the desire to keep pushing on, to give our all for our country”, Rosales added.
The Venezuelan international knows that following his side’s impressive recent showings, the fans’ expectations have changed greatly. However, the highly-talented defender has made it clear that it is not a burden, but an honour.
“People’s expectations have changed and that’s understandable. They expect more of us. That generates responsibilities, something we’re aware of much more than before. All the same, it’s not a burden or an extra weight for us.
It’s an honour”, Rosales concluded.
Venezuela will lock horns against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nacional-c39984 on September 7. Rosales would be hoping that his side could manage to claim a win against the hapless La Blanquirroja, and better
their position on the table.
