I think he has to be in the HOF.  He really fell off after he went to NY and he never rebounded. However, Alomar is one of the all time great defensive players, and was also a career .300 hitter. He will be a first ballot Hall of Famer. 12 time All-Star, 10 time Gold Glove winner!

Absolutely. He was not only one of the best defensive 2B of his era, but also had tremendous skills at the plate. The last few years of his career should not be held against him when you take his entire career into account. The sad fact is he hasn't been in great health over the past several years.
