The former Bayer Leverkusen manager has been appointed as the sporting director of the national side by the German Football Association.
Dutt will take over the position from Matthias Sammer, who left for Bayern Munich this summer to take over the role of the sporting director at Allianz Arena. The 47-year-old, who was relieved of his duties at BayArena following
poor run of results in April, signed a four-year deal with the DFB.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Freiburg-c40462 boss admitted that he had no second thoughts when the German Football Association approached him for the position. He claimed that it will be a very exciting role for him to play and is looking forward to
working with Die Mannschaft boss Joachim Low.
Dutt is confident that he will be able to find some of the best talents in the country in the next few years, who could become a part of one of the best teams in the world. The former tactician admits that the team has the 2014
World Cup in mind and are working accordingly.
“Being able to take over such an exciting task with the DFB has a particular significance for me. I'm looking forward to working with national team coach Joachim Low and all of the other DFB coaches. I find it an incredibly attractive
challenge to take football forward together with the biggest talents in our country,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, national side boss Joachim Low is delighted with DFB’s decision to appoint Dutt as the new Sporting director. Low is excited ahead of working with the former Bayer Leverkusen manager and is confident of a strong
partnership.
“I am pleased that the DFB have acted so well and so quickly to find this competent solution. I am looking forward to our cooperation,” he concluded.
