Robin Uthappa reckons Sachin and Pathan as India’s trump cards in World Cup

The opening batsman of India, who has not played an international match since July 2008, heaped praises for the all-rounder and hoped he would help the side with both bat and ball.
"Yusuf Pathan is the biggest surprise package. He can do the talking with both bat and ball," said the aggressive opener from Karnataka.
The 25-year-old, who plays for South Zone in the Duleep Trophy, feels Yusuf would be ‘devastating’ down the order.

"With Sachin back, it will be a tough call...,” said the hard-hitting opener. “If he gets a chance, Yusuf can be really devastating down the order," he added.
Uthappa, who played a vital role in India’s triumphant campaign in the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 tournament in 2007, was recently bought by an IPL franchise Sahara Pune Warriors whopping for US$ 2.1 million ( almost rupees 9.66 crore)
for the fourth edition of lucrative Twenty20 tournament.
Uthappa reckoned this year’s cricket World Cup, in all probability, would be Sachin’s last World Cup and has urged the Indian team to help the batting prodigy end his career on a triumphant note.

The 25-year-old, who is famous for his beautiful strokes against fast bowlers, said that the team has recently performed exceptionally well in subcontinent conditions and if the whole side played to its strength and potential, the unit
can script history by lifting World Cup trophy on home ground.
Like various other Indian cricketers, Uthappa also reckoned Indian batting department as its key to success in the upcoming World Cup.
"We have a fantastic side; it's a pretty solid batting line-up and the team is shaping up really well,” said Uthappa.
