Robin Van Persie believes that Arsenal can finally turn their season around – Premier League Update
Arsenal striker and Dutch international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 has gone on to reveal that he is confident over the fact that the Gunners can finally turn their season around and get back to their winning ways.
The Gunners have so far managed to pick up only one win in the Premier League so far this season, but Van Persie feels that the win in the League Cup is going to give the team the confidence boost that they have been looking for.
Arsenal took on Shrewsbury Town in the Carling Cup, but went down to an early goal by their opponents. The team then went on to go all out and turn the tie around, as they sailed to a three goals to one win at the end of the day.
Van Persie, when talking about the team and the upcoming games is quoted to have said: "It is important that we stay positive - that can be hard because everyone is frustrated and we realise that this is our worst start in the league for a while, but we
have to stay together, be strong and make sure not to hide or become introverted.
"Games like Saturday's [Blackburn] happen, but we must not go into our shell.
"We should be proud of who we are and aware that we are only five games in with so much still to play for."
The team has been criticised for their shaky defending over the last couple of weeks and Van Persie seems to agree with the fact that something has definitely gone wrong at the back.
He added: "The facts are we went in front twice [against Blackburn] and didn't defend well enough thereafter.”
However, despite that fact, the Gunners captain has revealed that no one is pointing fingers at the club just year, since they are trying to overcome the situation as a team.
"We don't blame individuals, but we have to look a bit more closely at things."
Arsenal need to really step their game up against Bolton Wanderers this weekend. The team is currently near the bottom of the table and they need to start working their way back to the top half.
So far http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 are being counted to be down and out, however, it is now up to the team to prove their worth and show everyone just what they are capable off.
The next couple of weeks are guaranteed to be a real test of the team’s character and mentality and hopefully the North London side will be able to come out on top in the end.
