Arsenal started off the season in terrible fashion, but following some last minute transfers on the deadline day, the team has managed to turn its season around. The Gunners are now sitting in the fifth spot and seem more than eager to leapfrog their rivals
to the top of the league table.
Despite many believing that the team doesn’t have the capability of coming back and winning the title with twelve points separating them from the top spot, it seems like the team has ideas of its own.
Arsenal’s captain, Robin Van Persie has come forth and revealed that the team still feels that it can go on and win the Premier League, given how only seventeen games have been played in the season so far.
The striker is quoted to have said: "It is still early"
"We've only played 17 games, we're not even halfway, so anything can happen in this league.”
The striker then admitted that if the team went on to contest each and every one of their games, they would possess a favourable chance at winning the league title.
"The way we look at it is that we challenge for every single game and we will see what that will bring us."
Van Persie then talked about the game against Aston Villa and the fact that it showed just how much spirit the team had.

Van Persie despite being delighted about the win, was ecstatic that Benayoun managed to make a notable contribution for the Gunners, given how much hard work he had been putting in, in training.
He said: "It was really good for Yossi as well because he has been training unbelievably, trust me.
"Everyone was hoping for him to get a chance and he took it. Everyone is so pleased for him."
