http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 has decided to put his contract talks on hold, as he feels he would much rather focus on playing football at the moment.
Van Persie is set to be without a contract at the end of the coming season, but so far the striker has refused to commit his future to the club on a long term basis.
The Dutch international has attracted a lot of attention from clubs all over the globe and it seems like the attacker is well aware of this fact.
When asked about his commitment to Arsenal and what he planned on doing in regards to his expiring contract, the striker went on to state: “There have been a lot of stories, generally contradictory ones, about my contract situation recently so I’d like
to make it clear.”
"There’s nothing complicated or sinister - the Club and I have both agreed to speak at the end of the season and see how things stand. The boss, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ivan-c17215 Gazidis and I are all comfortable with it.”
“I need all my focus to be on football - on captaining this team, improving every day, doing extra work on the training pitch and preparing for the very busy schedule of fixtures we have.”
"If I look down the list, there’s not much time to sit down and think about anything else! For me, this is a time to play football and not speak about personal things.”
“All of my energy needs to go on getting this team where we want it to be this season.”
Van Persie has easily been the Gunners stand out performer all season long and his performances this season have really shown just what the striker is capable of producing on the pitch.
However, with the striker performing to the best of his abilities, the rest of the Arsenal squad hasn’t been playing as well as they should be.
The North London club are virtually out of all their cup competitions and are currently struggling to try and end the season in a top four position.
It is now a wait to see just what the striker decides to do about his future at the club.
