Robin Ventura seems happy with Chicago White Sox’s bullpen – MLB News
The Chicago White Sox’s new manager Robin Ventura is looking happy the way his team’s bullpen has picked the pace. Ventura, who might have no prior managerial experience, but still considered an excellent baseball executive equipped with game’s enormous
knowledge. These were the qualities which clicked general manager Kenny Williams’ mind as he later eventually brought him into the franchise as new manager.
Now working whole offseason with the White Sox, Ventura is claiming in the media that his bullpen seems confident going into a new Major League Baseball season. Recently some reporters caught him and asked some questions that he answered with great self-assurance.
He also showed full confidence on his team and especially spoke for Matt Thornton’s game.
Thornton has worked with Ventura in this year’s Spring Training and learned many things from his manager. Later during the answers and questions, Ventura told reporters about the reshaped pitching of Thornton and his ability to pitch fast.
Ventura said with quite detail explaining, “We're not making any decisions (Thursday) off that. But I'm happy with all of them. We're putting them in there to get their innings and get them work, but none of that could mean anything in terms of where they
exactly were (Thursday). He's just a good pitcher and I'm glad he's on our team, that's about as simple as I can get. He has good stuff and he's a leader and all that good stuff. So I'm happy we're able to use him the way we're going to use him."
This is a great development in Ventura’s managerial experience as its expanding. He is also feeling comfortable with the White Sox at the moment. Some players have already made some kind of binding with him and having an easy-go relationship with him. This
reflects his understanding nature and level of commitment to settle in a new environment.
Experts believe that how Ventura is playing his cards this year with Chicago White Sox, there will be a huge chance for the management to see their franchise winning a World Series title in the next or few years’ time.
