Former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international, Arjen Robben, as an example to follow in the game of football.
Manchester United star player, Van Persie believes international colleague, Arjen Robben, is an inspiration in the sport after his amazing comeback in the Bayern Munich first team. He did not do well in 2012 as the German side failed to win the Bundesliga,
the German cup and the UEFA Champions League.
“What Robben did shows you that things can change really quickly in football,” Van Persie added.
The Dutch star lost his first team place at the start of the 2012-13 season due to injuries and poor form. Nevertheless, the right winger worked hard in 2012 to claim his starting berth and guided Der FCB to the historic treble this term. He was on the score
sheet in the final of the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund.
“Arjen had a hard time a couple of months ago as he was not really playing. And then a couple of months later he has three trophies in his pocket. So that's how quick football life can go,” he mused.
The Oranje striker claimed that Robben displayed that things develop quite fast in the game. He was struggling to play a few months ago and recently guided his side to three titles in a matter of a couple of weeks. He stated football offered Arjen another
opportunity and he duly obliged by getting a first team spot and great form.
“You always have a second chance to make things right, fight for trophies again and for your place on the team. In other words, just to enjoy football again. I think Arjen showed that,” the former Arsenal star was quoted as saying in an interview.
Van Persie suggested that his compatriot is a good example for people to learn that you should keep working hard even when things are not going your way. On the other hand, the forward claimed his first major silverware after winning the FA Cup with Arsenal
in 2005 this term as he helped his side win the Premier League.
