Robinho eager to return from injury and wants to help Milan in defending the Scudetto: Serie A news
A.C Milan striker, Robinho, has admitted that he is fit to take part in the club’s next league game against Palermo on Saturday, October 15th, 2011.
The Brazilian has been struggling with a thigh injury since the start of the 2010/11 season and has not featured in any of Milan’s games thus far. Robinho has returned to the training and is eagerly looking forward to rejoin the
action in the near future.
The 27-year-old showed his disappointment at the injury and admitted that he never thought of being sidelined for a longer period.
While talking to the reporters, Robinho said, “I’m well, I’m happy and I have recovered. I’m now training with the squad and I hope to give a helping hand to my teammates as soon as the next game. When I felt the first pains in
August I didn’t think that I would be sidelined for so long with the problem.”
“I’ve never suffered any serious injuries in my career, but this one went the way it did. It’s all over now though and I can’t wait to step back on to the pitch at San Siro and return to victory with Milan.”
The former Manchester City star’s absence was badly felt at the club as they have had a disappointing start to the season. The Rossoneri have picked up only five points in their opening five matches thus far and are looking extremely
weak without their star players.
