Robinho wants to win the remaining league games and delighted to return from injury: Serie A news
A.C Milan striker, Robinho, has urged his teammates to try and win the remaining league matches of the 2011/12 Serie A campaign.
The Brazilian made a welcome return to the starting line-up after missing his club’s opening five games of the league season and inspired them to a comprehensive win by scoring a goal and playing a huge hand in other two. Milan defeated Palermo 3-0 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday, October 15th 2011.
Robinho’s absence was badly felt at the Rossoneri camp as his team picked up only five points in as many matches prior to this game. The former Manchester City star is an influential figure in the team and his last season’s performances inspired Milan to reclaim the Scudetto after seven years.
The former Real Madrid striker is delighted to be back in the team and insisted that he has always enjoyed playing for the club. The 27-year-old admitted that he is an important member of the team and believes that each and every player individual has a role to play in the team’s success.
While talking to the reporters, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robinho-c31382 said, "I’m happy to be back and to be able to lend a hand. We always want to win. And we hope we can keep on doing it and win all the games. I know I’m an important player but we all are.”
Robinho has been hugely successful in the trequartista role at the club and insists that he is willing to play in any position Allegri wants him in. He also revealed the joy playing alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Antonio Cassano.
“I want to play closer to Ibra [http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302] and do what the coach asks. The summer was hard because of the injury. Now I can play a full game physically, but the coach took me off because I had been booked."
Milan find themselves on the 13th spot in the league table after the win at the weekend.
