Question:

Robinson Cano trade value?

What is Robinson Cano's trade value at this point? He is hitting .227/.268/.331 so far this year, but had a bad first half last year as well and ended up hitting .306/.353/.488. I was offered Matt Kemp straight up for him, but I declined because I didn't really need an OF. I'd like to get some starting pitching in return for him. Would another undercheiving Yankee like Chien Ming Wang be fair value for him?

  1. He isn't worth anything at this time. I would sit him until he shows signs of life. Right now you would just have to give him away.

  2. dunno

  3. very little.  you prolly couldnt even get wang for him.

  4. You're better off holding onto him. Cano is a third round pick. You will not be able to get anything close to that for him. Wait until he shows signs of heating up and then dump him if you really need to. If other owners see him starting to tear the cover off the ball they will be willing to give up more for him, hoping that he is finally breaking out of his slump.
