Liverpool defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Robinson-c17461 expressed his delight upon making a return to the team, after the 18-year old missed out on a good portion of the previous season due to a foot injury.
The English footballer, who is a product of the Liverpool Youth Academy, made his senior team debut in May, 2009 against Hull City. In total, he represented the Reds in two League Cup games in the prevenient term, featuring for the entire 90 minutes in both
the outings.
In October 2011, he extended his stay at Anfield by signing a new long term deal with the club. However, a foot surgery followed by a groin injury kept him from making any significant impact last season.
Nonetheless, following his impressive form in the recently concluded European U19 Championship and his inclusion in the Reds squad for their pre-season friendly games, Robinson let out his excitement upon making a return to the team.
While talking to reporters, he said: “It's great to be back playing after what happened last season. It was difficult and I hardly got to play at all last season. But now I'm back part of it under the new manager and it's just unbelievable to be part of
this squad.”
The defender also went into raptures about the Reds newly appointed manager, Brendan Rodgers, claiming that the Northern Irishman shared with him his vision for the coming season, and was planning on giving a good share of opportunity to all the youngsters
to prove their mettle before the start of their new campaign.
“The manager has explained to all of us what he wants this season. He has said that if you are good enough, you work hard and you're attitude is right then you'll get a chance. I like the way Brendan wants us to play and he's been great to work with.”
