Robinson ready to go against Indiana
Michigan Wolverines head coach Rich Rodriguez has said that star quarterback Dernard Robinson will be ready to go for the club’s match-up against the unbeaten Indiana Hoosiers this weekend.
Robinson was taken out of last week’s win over Bowling Green after suffering an injury in the first quarter. The club was initially worried that Robinson could have suffered a major injury. However, early in the week it was clear that he had only suffered
minor damage and was at risk of missing this weekend’s engagement. Nevertheless, the head coach says that the current Heisman favourite has had no restrictions so far this week in practice and should be ready for all situations come Saturday.
Robinson has had an outstanding season so far. The youngster’s athletic ability has totally transformed the Michigan offence, as the club now goes with a wildcat style game plan. The athletic ability of Robinson, coupled with his constant improvement in
the pocket has helped the Wolverines onto a perfect record and a 19th overall ranking.
So far this season the sophomore has tossed for 731 yards and four touchdowns. In two games this season the quarterback has registered over 200 yards passing. In addition, he has also run for over 100 yards in every game this season, on his way to recording
six rushing touchdowns.
Unfortunately for Michigan, not everyone will be healthy in time for Saturday’s game. Running backs Michael Shaw and Fitzgerald Toussaint are not expected to appear and safety Michael Williams will be out of the line-up due to a concussion.
The Wolverines will travel to Indiana to face-off against the Hoosiers on 2 October. The game will be the first in a line of tough match-ups, as they continue on to play #24 Michigan State, #17 Iowa and #22 Penn State over the next the
