Question:

Robo Returns. Who's stoked ?

Big Keith is good to go this weekend. I'm stoked to have the man back in action. Got pretty tired of hearing people say he should step aside and let someone else have a crack. When Jason "pig dog" Eaton and James Ryan were side-lined earlier in the year things looked bleak for the NZ line-out. Robo could not have returned at a better time.

Do you think Robo will shore up the NZ line out or will it remain in the shadow of the Aussie and African tall timber. (French line-out is probably better too - more complex )

  1. He may improve the lineout but I don't know if he'll be playing much against those teams.  I think Jack and Ali will start ahead of him.  It will be such a freakin relief to have him (or one of the other two) on the bench though.  Thorne is a good player but I'd definately prefer one fo those three on the bench.

    ***edit***

This suggests the lineout isn't a problem lol.. I know we haven't played any tough games but neither have Australia.

  2. not me i wanna know what he has done this year 2 deserve to be wearing the black jersey troy flavell should be there best  lock from any nz team this year in the super14 by far! robison to injury prone

  3. I'm glad to see him back - I like the way he ads some mongrel to the forward pack.

It's hard to say if he's gonna feature much in the knockout stages - I reckon Williams and Jack will get the run through to the final and we're more likely to use a 6/lock on the bench.

Hopefully he stays fit so that if Williams or Jack do pick up a knock he can start a game if need be.

Whilst he's a good lineout forward I don't think he'll make the difference to put us ahead of Sth Africa or Australia in this department - they've both got a bit of an edge on us here.

  4. wow im so excited woohoo

  5. Now that Sione Lauaki may be out, Keith Robo may be the mogro we need to keep it going. Robo is a great starting player. A player who puts in the hard work and wears out the opposition before putting in players like Ali or Jack, taking the game to another level.

There is no Top 15 in tournament rugby, the beach plays just as an important role as the 15 on the field and when it comes to line outs, it's all about timing. Some of the samller teams have already shown that in this World Cup.
