  1. there is no way to find out exactly how old your hamster is...but you can tell if its a male because his sexual opening and a**s is very far apart and the females are very close together..(they look like tiny pimpoles)

i think the website is hamsterhideout.com...it might be there,im not sure....

    hope this helps!

  2. try wikipedia , it's very helpful

  3. Check your hamsters ears. The more hair on their ears the younger they are! If it's under 4 weeks old it is too young to have as a pet. If you recently bought it from a pet shop -and if it's older than 8 weeks- where it was with males and it's a girl, it could be pregnant. Have fun with your hamster!

  4. Normally pet shops and breeders sell hamsters only after they are 6 weeks old. So your robo can be anywhere between 6-8 weeks. There is no other way of finding what the age of your robo is. Best would be to check with the pet shop itself from where you brought it.

For sexing robo hamsters, check the illustration under dwarf hamsters by clicking the below link -

    this pic will help

  6. Firstly they are very sociable animals so they need company.  If you only got it yesterday then go back to the store and ask for another from the same litter of the same s*x.  this is very important as it will be miserable alone.  I keep three males together and they are very happy; I got two at the same time and then one a wek later from the same store.

You can teel the sexes apart by looking for the testicles on the male.  Once they have reached sexual maturity they are VERY (almost comically) obvioous.  I expect your robo is young as you only just got him so the testicals may not yet be obvious in a male of that age.  The other clue is males have a yellow stain on their belly that is a scent gland only males have.  So if you have one with a vellow stain you have a male, if they don't have the stain they are more than likely female.  In a couple of weeks it will be easier to tell.
