Robovorski hamster: do they like other robos with them or not?

We bought a Robovorski hamster yesterday. Today we researched online and the sites online state they like to have a fellow Robo companion (same s*x) but when we went back to the pet store to get a second they told us it's not recommended.

Which is it? Do Robovorski hamsters like having a companion hamster or not? Thanks!!

They like to have friends that came from the same litter and were bought at the same time

I have a pair of Robos and they love each soo much!! And you should have them in same s*x pairs or trios. They are very social, the most social hamster. The lady at the petshop told us this too, but we did extensive reasearch before hand and new she didn't reconize the difference between Robos and common hamsters. Now we have a happy hamster pair living together for 5 months. This probally what happened with you too. I would highly suggest getting the second Robo.
