Rock Critic ready to win Twitter Race at Tipperary
Rock Critic is all ready to claim first position in Follow @ Tipperaryraces On Twitter Race that will be held at Tipperary racecourse on Thursday, May 3. The action is scheduled to begin at 8:30 (GMT).
The high-stakes contest over a distance of 7 furlongs and 100 yards has €8,625 in the prize purse. The D. K. Weld-trained bay gelding will confidently compete against four strong rivals such as Lightening Stricks, Mojita, Simla Sunset and Waydownsouth.
The seven-year-old veteran runner possesses an epic track record. Out of his total 15 starts, the maverick horse has won 5 to date, earning £71,036 as prize money. After winning two races in a row during July-August 2010, he went ahead to bag a couple of
consecutive triumphs in July 2011. He earned a favourite tag for each of these four starts.
The brilliant son of Pivotal out of Diamond Trim elegantly earned a runner-up rank in his last outing on October 14, 2011.
On the basis of these outstanding feats, the punters have allotted the gelding a favourite tag again for today’s event. Currently, he is floating in the waters of confidence and courage.
If Rock Critic manages keep his winning spirit intact, his chances to finish first in the Twitter Race will be as high as 93 percent.
Among the other runners, Waydownsouth and Mojita are also likely to do well as each one of them looks to be talented enough on the card.
Waydownsouth has four classic triumphs to his name. The Patrick J. Flynn-trained bay gelding won three races in a row during September-October 2010. Since then, he has been winless. However, he has delivered some impressive performances during this period.
On the other hand, Mojita has performed nicely in each of the last four races of her career from September 18 to November 11, 2011. This helped the brilliant bay filly gain a lot of confidence. Now, she is quite prepared for a mega upset.
In the light of the above analysis, it is predicted that Rock Critic will be able to seal a sterling success comfortably as none of his competitors can impede his way. Good luck to all the runners.
