Rock Of Hope set to kick off Corona Maiden 480m Trophy campaign on a winning note at Nottingham
On his previous outing over 420 metres, Rock Of Hope gave an impression that the stiffer four bends would suit him to a great deal. Therefore, the punters can easily take a chance on him in the opening heat of Corona Maiden 480m Trophy, taking place at Nottingham
on Monday, April 15, 2013.
The David Pruhs-trained was terrible on a couple of occasions prior to his last strike. After finishing fifth in two consecutive races, the July-10 hound was surely under tremendous amount of pressure. The son of Droopys Scolari quickly got his act together,
and put a nice show last time out.
After leaving the sixth box, he showed immense pace and despite getting bumped at the first bend, the dashing hound managed to take lead at the third bend. It was his race afterwards. Making no mistakes whatsoever, the black dog captured the first place
comfortably by three lengths.
Rock Of Hope is due to start from the same trap today. And an equally fine show will be enough for him to seize the top rank. Among the rivals are: Fabulous Glenda, Burnpark Kate, Newbee Driveby, Midway Lady Luck, and Passion Punch.
The 480 metres race will be begun at 20:26 GMT. A handy prize of 150 pounds is reserved for the big champion.
As far as Burnpark Kate’s chances are concerned, a switch to red vest could see her in a different light. Her current form is awful though. The black dog ended up last on the previous trip.
Newbee Driveby is still adjusting to things in a higher level. The white and blue b***h did well in the trials, but was a big failure ahead of that. Fabulous Glenda, the youngster, is improving with each outing. But this is not perhaps her day.
Midway Lady Luck showed no fireworks in the qualifying trials. It will be interesting to see how she handles the pressure today. Passion Punch failed to figure in a sprint on last visit. A massive improvement is required to make a race of it. Good luck to
all the contestants.
