Rock Star Birthday Party for my 3 year old..need ideas.

Question

My son LOVES music and 'tars' (guitars) so we are having a rock star birthday party. I am thinking red carpet coming in, letting the kids all get 'rock star' with hair gels/glitter for the girls and tattoos, then eating in the 'green room' - finger foods, sweet (candy) sushi, still thinking of more ideas for that.

And lastly, downstairs on the 'stage' to karaoke and dance, maybe play musical chairs.

I need help for sure with centerpieces...no idea there - or do I make the downstairs more plain like it's a concert venue??

muscial chairs is good maybe have someone play an guitar and as for the food rockstars love chicken wings and chips and hotdogs and anything that totally rock. have a great party hope i was of some help

This seems like a pretty sophisticated theme for a 3-yr-old.  They have no idea what a "green room" is, and won't be interested in dancing (just running around).  Candy sushi would be cute for the parents, but why not Jello Jigglers cut into stars for the kids?   They're too young for karaoke, unless you'll be singing kids' songs, and then I'd do a sing-along.  If they're all at least 3, Musical Chairs MIGHT work, but their attention span is really too short for organized games, and they don't understand the concept of winner/loser yet (and will cry, if they don't get a prize).   A bounce house will be best - just let them run around and don't try to organize them at that age......

I'm doing a rock star party in September for my almost 8 year old daughter. I'm doing the red carpet. I didn't think of calling the dining room the green room (like it, gonna steal it too), I'm getting a couple disposable cameras for the kids to take picture of each other like paparazzi, I went to "Oriental Trading Co." they have great rock star supplies and reasonably priced. I did a search and got a coupon for free shipping too. I've bought bandannas and am going to have the kids use them in anyway they want to help create the own look. We're using make-up (most of my kids will be girls) and clip on hair pieces. The door will have Stage Entrance on it. I found at walmart plastic microphones that are filled with candy (for grab bags). I'm also not calling them grab bags they are "Swag Bags". I'm setting my video camera up on a tripod and hooking it to the tv. I got some blow up guitars and we're going to have airbands.

i think you should make it like a concert venue

you could use coloured lights as spotlights to light up the stage

have you got a games console?

you could get the game 'rock band' where people have different instruments

or maybe guitar hero

they can be quite expensive but they could be a birthday present for your son
