instead of glass jars can i use strong plastic jars? also instead of food coloring can i use red kool aid?

but for the red cool aid you might have to do some mathh to see how much sugar is in the koolaid becuase you propably have to aid more sugar. just do some math and i think it'll work.

On jars, yes, if they're a type of plastic made to resist melting (depending on how you're planning on doing this).

On Kool-Aid, that may affect the taste, it would probably turn it red, but I wouldn't do it unless I was simply experimenting.
