Rock it Elite storms his way to victory in the 480m Grade A1 race

Rock it Elite took a comprehensive victory in the 480 metres, Grade A1 race at Hall Green on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, earning a cash prize of £145.
The P A Sallis trained dog was the favourite to win, with a starting price of 2 to 1. He was quick right from the start of the race, and left all other hounds behind by a decent margin, covering the race distance in 28.87 seconds.
Other than Rock it Elite, no other hound managed to clock a time within the 28 seconds barrier. The winning dog is the son of Toms View out of Rackethall Abbey, and was born in July, 2008.
Caribbean Gem finished second in the race, after breaking from trap number five. He had a starting price of 5 to 2, and completed the total distance in 29.26 seconds.
The J R Hall trained dog failed to challenge the front runner, but his trainer would have been happy with the outcome of the race.
Caribbean Gem was born in May, 2009 to Hades Rocket and Silky Princess.
Ballymac Lomu, trained by C N Kyme, ended up in third place. He had entered the race from trap number three, and had a starting price of 4 to 1. He covered the race distance in 29.46 seconds.
The third placed dog is the son of Tyrur Lomu out of Coolavanny Minor, and was born in April, 2008.
The top three places were taken by dogs in the Grade A1 race, and the rest of the field consisted of b***h, who finished in the bottom three. Questhouse Chaz, who secured the fourth position, after popping out from trap number four.
Questhouse Chaz is also trained by P A Sallis, whose dog won this race. She had a starting price of 8 to 1, and covered the overall distance in 29.55 seconds. She is the daughter of Westmead Hawk and Droopys Charlize, and was born in September, 2008.
There was a tough battle between the bottom three finishers, as the fifth placed b***h, Minglers Nut, completed the race by a distance of a head to, Questhouse Chaz. She went into the race from trap number two, and had a starting price of 4 to 1.
Minglers Nut was born in September, 2009 to Royal Impact out of Minglers Return.
The b***h that completed the order of finish was, Ballyrhan Babe, who was off the mark by a head to Minglers Nut. Her starting rate was 8 to 1, and she broke into the race from trap number one. She is the daughter of Droopys Maldini out of Sporting
Renata, and was born in April, 2009.
This race was clearly dominated by the favourite hound and there were no surprises for the spectators.
