Rock wall climbing (Red River NM)?

Question

Has anybody ever been to Red River New Mexico and climbed the expert rock wall that you can win $100 if you make it to the top in under 3 minutes?

Or if anyone has ever climbed a difficult rock wall any pointers?

The guy at the place said there was a technique that once you figure it out ou can go up in a minute. Anyone have a clue?

I don't remeber a rock wall in Red River. I haven't been there since before Texas Reds burned down. Best damned steak house in Taos county.

There is no one "trick" that will solve all rock climbing problems - it is always a combination of the following:

- Forearm / grip strength

- Footwork

- Climbing technique (backstep, mantle, stem, heel hook, etc)

If there is one "trick" or technique that will solve this particular route, you will still need the others in order to get to the top. And if the difficulty is above a particular climbers ability, he isn't going to get through the rest of the route even if he knows the "trick".
