Hey guys,

I was wondering if the Rockband Pedal Metal is worth it to reinforce the bass pedal. Has anyone bought it and tried it?

Also, does anyone know the difference between the Diamond plate and the Billet?

Thanks!

  1. Ok, here's some pedal info from a guy who's been through a few of 'em. :-)

A billet pedal is, quite literally, a replacement pedal.  You'll need a screwdriver to install it, but basically you take the plastic part of the original Rock Band pedal and replace it with a sturdier metal one.  The diamond plate pedals are basically thinner sheets of metal that you attach to the existing pedal, reinforcing what's already there.

I have experience with a billet pedal, I installed one after my Rock Band pedal broke and it worked fine.  I also currently have an entire replacement pedal, made entirely out of heavy duty materials, and if you can find one of those, I'd highly recommend it.  Either way, you're reinforcing a very weak piece of electronic equipment, which is a good and cost-effective idea.  Hope this helps, good luck!
