Rockband and Gh3 for the wii?

Hi.

I have Guitar hero 3 for the wii, and i know that you can use the guitar from gh3 with the rockband game. So i was going to buy the drums from rockband, and the rockband game, and then just use my guitar from gh3 with rockband. I was wondering if you can do this.

Basically you can use the guitar from gh3 and the rockband game.

Can you do that but also add the drums from rockband?

No you can not with the Wii, the reason the GH3 and Rock Band guitars are universal on PS3 and 360 are because they all use USB cord guitars.  However, since the Wii uses the Wiimote attachment for its GH3 guitar, it will NOT WORK for Rock Band.

With the wii version, you can't do that, only with the xbox 360 can you use the gh guitar with rockband because it's not wireless, the wiis gh guitar uses a wii remote, but rockband guitars don't need the wii remote, they plug into the back usb on the wii. If i were you though, i wouldn't get rockband and wait, the guitars for it are horrible, the think you strum is not very tactile. But in october, Guitar Hero World Tour is coming out, which will be just like rockband, except you will now be able to make your own songs with each intrument. The drum set will also have 3 drums, 2 cymbals, and a foot pedal. It's gonna be way better than rockband 2. and the guitar is going to have a new touch sensitive button sort of thing on it where you can slide your fingers on it and tap on it to do all kinds of cool things.
