Rockband solo tour ps3!?

Okay, I was doing the solo tour on HARD mode, but when I got to seattle there are a couple of songs I couldn't beat on hard.

So I want to repeat the tour but on medium. My question is do I need to repeat every single song in medium to unlock a new city?
