Rockchase Jack favourite to win London Road Maidens
On the card of the London Road Maidens, Rockchase Jack stands as the most favourite runner to finish first. The high-profile Open Race of 400m Flat distance is going to take place at Romford racecourse on Friday night, March 30.
For the prize money worth £150, the D. Childs-trained black and white dog will compete against Droopys China, Copeland Robbie, Risky Fred, Bit View Tornado and Slippery Tigger.
Rockchase Jack will break from Trap 1 when the action begins at 19:46 (GMT).
The dashing dog made his debut on January 30, 2012 and finished sixth in his first race. He broke his maiden on March 20 by finishing first with a margin of 1 ½ lengths in a tough competition.
The novice runner perpetuated his winning momentum and went on to bag another victory on March 27. Thus, he is on a hat-trick now.
The son of Slip The Lark out of Mountjoy Diamond has gained a lot of confidence with these two back-to-back triumphs.
The young hound will try to complete his hat-trick by winning tonight’s contest, having as high as 93 percent chances to finish first.
However, some of Rockchase Jack’s competitors like Droopys China and Risky Fred can give him rather tough time on the track.
Droopys China accomplished a fabulous hat-trick during December 11-January 2012. After earning a runner-up rank on January 26, the J. Reynolds-trained white and blue b***h bagged a couple of consecutive victories during the very next month. She also achieved
a victory along with a runner-up position during March.
Risky Fred is also on a hat-trick. M. Wallis’ black dog won a race each on March 20 and 27 with big margins. He is also carrying a lot of confidence which will surely help him thrive in the Road Maidens.
In this situation, there will be a tough tug of war among the above three hounds. The hot favourite runner will have to fight with his back to the wall in order to make a breakthrough. Good luck to all the contestants.
