Question:

Rocket man Shane and the Welsh back-three?

I'm from the same village as Shane Williams and seen him rise from local club Amman United, to Neath, and beyond. He is as good if not better than any winger in the world - he has the pace of Brian Habana and Jo Rokocoko but with a more experienced head on him. He can change a game in a second, and we've seen it game after game. He runs through defence as if they aren't there, like a slippery eel. Lee Byrne, Mark Jones and Shane Williams form one of the best (if not THE best) back-threes in the world.

Any comments?

  1. Wales are playing to a distinct pattern and Shane has been a revelation this season.

  2. The guy is a legend and is such a strong player he fears nobody!

Agree with all you say, but I think Hensons long kick helped change the game as well..........the whole team is on fire at the moment and it's great!

  3. Waw gouch o ble wyt ti?

    Dwi'n byw yng Nglanaman!

A neis gweld Cymro glan arall ar y safle yma.

Well Yn fy marn i does neb yn y byd a all wneud ni'n balch fel y mae Shane. Fe yw yn fy marn i'r asgellwr gorau yn y byd a does dim amheuaeth arni chwaith.

Dont ask im confused - **** RITE OFF MATE WHO YOU CALLING A TOSSER? IT WASN'T FOR YOU IT WAS JUST TELLING THE ASKER THAT I AM FROM WHERE SHANE IS FROM AND AS THE ASKER SPEAKS MY AND HIS NATIVE LANGUAGE I AINT GOING TO RESORT INTO A SECOND LANGUAGE TO SPEAK TO HIM SO MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS CALL YOURSELF WELSH , HAHA AND YOU CAN'T EVEN SPEAK IT AND OFIASLY HAVE SOMETHING AGAINST IT GET A LIFE U FOOL

  4. Until last year I thought that Shane W. was NOT a very good player. He appeared too greedy with the ball and not willing to pass when there were overlaps on and easy try scoring possibilities.

This  year I think he has grown markedly in stature and had become a very good player, not yet into greatness, but he's still got time.

You mention Lee Byrne, Mark Jones and Shane Williams but surely you cannot leave out Tom Shanklin and, who I believe is one of the most talented player in the world Gavin Henson. He can tackle, his running is top notch and distribution is awesome. His girlfriend's not too bad either :)

Oh and Cymro Bach, don't be a tosser - use English so others can read it.

  5. Shane may be tiny compared to a lot of rugby players, but when he gets hold of the ball, he is like a giant!!!! He's a GREAT player.

    Do iawn bois.

    Pob lwc wythnos nesaf.

    CYMRU AM BYTH!!!!

  6. they are  a great back three lets hope Gartleand leaves it like that

  7. hae who you calling rocket man? the only rocket man i know is joe rokocoko bring your g*y wales team down to  play the all blacks

  8. with you all the way.  the english have gone v v quiet though havnt they!!!!!!!  while we nurse hangovers, they hang they heads in shame.

  9. Williams may be good, but from memory, he got smashed big time when he played for the Lions against NZ. Wales are looking a lot better, but they will get shown up when they play NZ!

Lee Byrne, Mark Jones and Shane Williams vs Sitiveni Sivivatu, Mils Muliaina and Joe Rokocoko? Not a competition at all. They have 80 test tries between them!
