Rockets can use Artest for other reason's

Question

Artest can be used as trade bait to get another good player like VC or some young talent. Ofcourse if you want someone like vince you have to add something else. But its worth it.

Rockets needed someone besides McGrady who can get their own shot.

Artest is in the final year of his contract. He's going to want big money at the end of the season. Basically the Rockets are renting him for a year and figuring he'll toe the line for that money and produce the kind of numbers they need.

Nets tried to give VC away last year and there were no takers. He's not Air Canada anymore.

they should keep artest, if it doesnt work out they could trade him before the trade deadline

doubt it, i bet they would trade battier before they ever consider trading artest.
