Rockfella fervent to finish first in Bingo Handicap
Rockfella is fully fervent to finish first in the Betfred Bonus King Bingo Handicap that will be held at Sandown racecourse on Saturday, June 16. The Class 4 contest over the distance of 1 mile and 6 furlongs will commence at 5:30 (GMT).
The Denis Coakley-trained veteran gelding owns a terrific track record. He has won 6 of his total 25 starts so far. The six-year-old brilliant horse marvellously clinched top spot in the Punter Southall Transaction Services Handicap on August 12, 2011 at
Newbury track. This was his third last start.
The brilliant sprinter went on to grab a grand victory again in his last start entitled as Betfred “City Bowl” Handicap that went down at Salisbury track on May 6, 2012.
The son of Rock Of Gibraltar out of Afreeta holds a lot of confidence and fighting spirit that will surely help him do well in today’s marathon.
On his way towards the finish line, the maverick runner will face seven strong rivals such as Uphold, Bolivia, Mohanad, Cotton King, Lady Amakhala, Hawridge Star and Cozy Tiger.
For the prize cheque worth £6,146, Rockfella will produce rock-solid pace that will help him beat his competitors convincingly.
Among the other runners, Cotton King and Uphold are likely to perform well today.
Cotton King elegantly finished first in Mirror Punters Club Handicap on March 9, 2012. This event took place at Wolverhampton. The Lady Herries-trained bay gelding emphatically knocked down the hot favourite runner Blackmore to finish first.
Following this outstanding performance, the experienced sprinter moved on to get a 4th and a 5th position in the two subsequent outings. As a whole, he has won 4 of his total 17 starts so far.
On the other hand, Uphold’s last triumph came in January 2012. The g*y Kelleway-trained bay gelding went on to get a runner-up rank on February 23. The skilled horse finished 5th in each of his last four starts.
