ok, i relpaced the speakers in a factory rockford fosgate box (p2l212) with 2 p3d412's, and i replaced a p200.2 amp with a p 650.2 amp. i hooked everything up the same as the stuff i replaced and read directions to make sure all was the same as before and it is...and after about 30 min, the fuse on my power cable from the amp to the battery keeps blowing out. the new amp is hot as can be, and when i tried to hook up the old one (p200.2) it wont work either, and the fuse blows again too. any ideas? all connections are per the instruction manual. thanks alot

  1. when you swapped your subs, you changed the impedance to the amplifier.  You'll need to rewire your subs or you'll either keep blowing fuses or the amp itself.

  2. Sounds like you have an electrical short. Remember that a fuse is intended to protect an electrical circuit and if it keeps blowing its an indicator of a problem. If there are any relays, I would suggest checking them for starters.
