Rockstar Jack hot favourite for RGOA Members Trophy Race
Rockstar Jack is likely to dominate proceedings in the RGOA Members Trophy Race at Romford in England on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. The winning greyhound will be awarded a cash prize of £135.
The Grade A1, 400 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 21:41 GMT and the odds are in favour of Rockstar Jack, who is a very good runner. His performances in recent times have not been completely dominant, but his main rivals are struggling for form,
which will help him attract the maximum number of bets overall.
The A. Ingram’s trainee has got extremely good speed, but that matters mostly in races below 300 metres. He will need to be strong overall in order to outperform his rivals at Romford.
Out of his past five races, the black dog managed to win just once, but his performances in other events have been good. The start of this year did not prove to be ideal for him, but he has improved a lot since then.
Never Give Up’s son out of Grainnes Girl finished runner up in his most recent race. He was expected to be strong back then, as the bookies had rated him as the joint favourite for victory.
However, a bad start did not allow Rockstar Jack to finish at the top of the table. He fought extremely hard though and finished just half a length short of the winner. If he gets a clean run today, he will definitely not allow anyone to come closer in the
race.
Looking at the experience of Southlodge Colin, he can also not be ruled out of contention for victory in the race. He debuted at the start of last year and has been impressive on numerous occasions.
The M. Locke’s trainee looked in good shape at the start of this year as well and things were shaping up nicely for him. However, his form has dipped in recent times, which will discourage the punters from placing bets on him.
The black dog performed decently in his most recent outing, as he finished third in it. He gave a tough time to Rockstar Jack back then and a similar show is expected today as well.
