Rocktherunway looking good in Totepool Tradesman´s Derby, Rhagori Aur favourite for Edinburgh Castle Conditions Stakes at Musselburgh
Rocktherunway has an obvious chance of grabbing the top rank in the Totepool Tradesman´s Derby (Handicap), being held at Musselburgh on Saturday, June 2nd. The 3-year-old is performing quite decently this season, maintaining the highest standards
of speed and stamina.
The gelding was pretty impressive in both of his last appearances. After missing the top place by one and a half lengths, he raised his game significantly, bagging the top place easily at Newcastle.
T.S.G. Median Auction Maiden Stakes saw him seizing the first spot by 31 lengths. With such a tremendous performance under his belt, Michael Dods’ trainee is full of spirit.
Among his rivals are: Spirit Of The Law, Rayvin Black, Rei D´Oro, Priestley´s Reward, Choisan, Moon Trip, Queen’s Estate, Party Line, Cades Reef, Torero, Gabrial’s King, Fisher and Aleksandar. The class-4 meeting will be kicked off at 14:25 GMT. A cash prize
of £12,938 is reserved for the ultimate champion.
Spirit Of The Law can be a good alternative. Ahead of his second at Nottingham last month, the 3-year-old sealed an emphatic win at Doncaster. Ed Dunlop’s trainee has potential to make things tricky for Rocktherunway, but still it will be a very tough task
for him.
Toteplacepot Edinburgh Castle Conditions Stakes is another exciting event at Musselburgh this weekend. The class-2 event has attracted seven high profile entries including Tatlisu, Hiddon Coin, All On Red, Rhagori Aur, Satsuma, Ahern and Lothian Countess.
According to our calculations, Rhagori Aur has the best chance of winning the 5f event. Bryan Smart’s trainee was pretty impressive on her debut.
British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing E B F Maiden Fillies' Stakes saw her winning a similar contest by 2¾ lengths at Thirsk. After making a winning start to her career, the 2-year-old filly is full of confidence.
Therefore, she is unlikely to share success with any of her opponents. However, she will have to be better than All On Red, who is another in-form candidate.
Tobias B P Coles’ trainee won two of the three races, she has run so far. The 2-year-old holds a tremendous strike rate and cannot be overlooked. Let’s see how she utilises her experience to outsmart Rhagori Aur. Good luck to everyone.
