Rockview Sail wins The Coral Coronation Cup-1st Semi Final at Romford
Rockview Sail stood first with a huge margin of 7 lengths in the 1st Semi Final race of The Coral Coronation Cup at Romford on Friday night.

It was an open race of 575m category. The winner competed against five hounds, Judicial Academy, Parkwest Leo, Munster Champ, Head Iton Tom and Spinkys Nod.
Rockview Sail, breaking from trap 2, was the most favourite runner with a starting price of 11/10.
Just after starting, the blue dog took lead and continued to rush ahead with full force. His competitors tried their utmost to catch him, but all in vain.

The son of Honda Black was packed with aggression and seemed to be h**l-bent to win the important event.
Much to the surprise of all, Rockview Sail reached the finish line in 35.48 seconds.

It was a tremendous victory indeed, and the dog’s trainer, R Senior, was pleased with the way his trainee performed, anticipating further iconic achievements for him, especially in the final race of The Coral Coronation Cup.
It was the fourth consecutive top position for the runner, and the 11th overall by the hound, who made his debut in May 2011 at Wimbledon. He was whelped in May 2009.
The second spot went to Judicial Academy. The white and blue dog broke from trap 4 and right from the outset, he lacked pace and lagged behind.

He did not try to increase his speed and chased Rockview Sail, but continued with his neutral pace. However, he beautifully managed to keep himself ahead of the back runners till the end.
The son of Big Daddy took 36.04 seconds to complete the distance. He ended up with this position for the 2nd consecutive time, and the fourth overall since his debut in October 2011 at Nottingham.

Whelped in September 2008, the dog is trained by G Oswald.
Parkwest Leo was the runner to finish third in the race. Breaking from Trap 6, the fawn dog took 36.20 seconds to reach the boundary line, as he found himself trailing by 2 lengths in the end.

The son of Hondo Dingle started with a good pace but bumped soon. However, he continued with a smooth speed afterwards. He is trained by A E Gardiner.
In the end, the 1st cash prize worth £175 was presented to Rockview Sail, while each of the other sprinters earned £30.
