Ali would cut him up and tko the Rock in about 8 rounds. I say 8 because the Rock was tough as nails. It would have been a very entertaining fight but Ali is too big and fast for the Rock to deal with.

This would be an easy one to pick, Ali was superior to Marciano in all aspects except power, marciano was not even a true heavyweight (he was a cruiserweight but this division did not exist back then) Marciano had to come back to win against an old ezzard Charles and an old joe walcott and this guys weren't as fast or as powerful as Ali(ezzard was already showing signs of lou gehrig's disease at the time). Both Marciano and Ali had tough chins and could endure punishment,Ali however had the size advantage,more speed,more skills,longer reach and better foot work than Rocky marciano moreover Marciano bled easily while Ali hardly ever got a scratch in his prime therefore this fight would really be a mismatch, marciano would put up a great fight but eventually the difference between the two would become obvious, Ali would have to endure some punishing blows and will probably move around the ring to avoid getting cornered he would counter marciano's hits with fast flurries and almost surely land more punches (the reach and the speed would be a deciding factor in this case) in the final rounds Ali would have the advantage as marciano would make one last attempt to knock him out, he would be covered in blood and probably have a swollen eye (but being the warrior that he was he would keep on fighting), eventually the referee would be forced to stop the fight because marciano would be deemed to injured to continue Ali would run to Marciano's corner and hug him showing Marciano respect for hanging in there despite all the disadvantages that Marciano faced going into the fight and Marciano would do the same. This would have been a great fight to watch.

Jeez haven't seen this question before :P.

There seems to be a tendency to make Marciano super human. In reality he was just a tough as nails blue collar man, he bleeds,gets hurt and could be knocked out if hit on the button.

Marciano was the best fighter in his time and before him. But Rocky did not fight allot of good fighters until the end part of his career, and when he did step up his competition it was against an over the hill Wallcott and slowly deteriorating Ezzard Charles and he took a couple wins over some solid competition at the time. But he also started getting hit more, rocked a few times and even floored by an old slow Archie Moore then retired instead of jumping in with the newer bigger slick boxers that where coming up behind him. The sport like it has done in every era started to pass him by.

He made his mark on the sport and was an inspiration to blue collar workers and the average man.

Most people don't even remember or know why Marciano retired, there was talk about him fighting Floyd Patterson, but a couple lackluster sparring sessions and some serious weight gain made the Rock decide to retire undefeated then to let some young black man pick apart what was left of Marciano. Im sure If Marciano had known about Patterson's glass jaw he probably would have taken the fight anyways.

That being said at 5'10 188lbs and a 67" reach he would be facing a man 6'4 220 lbs with a 13 inch reach advantage and a h**l of jab who was faster,slicker and had one of the best chins the sport has ever seen, and to go with it he had the most heart and a belief in himself that was unmatched.

Most rounds would be Ali jabbing and moving and dropping in bombs when Marciano presented an opening. Marciano would have his rounds as well hammering away while Ali ducks and Jives and takes a few, but the 188lb Rocky just does not have enough power to seriously hurt Muhammad, Once Ali is comfortable that he can take what Marciano's got he gets more aggressive jabbing and throwing strait rights.

By the late rounds there is talk in Marciano s corner about stopping the fight, but the Rock persists and is allowed to continue. By round 11 the Rock hits the canvass, he gets up and holds, backs up in defense giving a few more vein attempts at trying to rush Ali, the bell rings for the final round and Ali is declared the winner by a lopsided unanimous decision.
