  1. GREAT QUESTION!!! On speed Ali would win on points and punches landed but Rocky Marciano was the best conditioned Boxer of all time and the heardest hitter. So I'd have to go with Marciano.Rocky just hit to hard and hit to the body a lot. Ali was never could take punches to the body very well and that was Rocky's strongpoint. He's beat you to the body for the first few rounds, wear you down, then when you couldn't keep your guard up, then he's begin to punish your head. Rocky Hands down!!

  2. marciano.......be interested if you could highlight as to where youve seen the computerised version please.i wouldnt mind seeing that youve left us in the dark.

EDIT: ah thanks for that my man ill try and find it cheers.

  3. Think Frazier/Ali only with a smaller hitter but a smarter fighter.

The Rock would bleed but Ali could not KO him.

Did Ali really beat Joe? You be the judge.

Ali jabs and clinches his way to a decision like usual. Don King pays the judges afterward as usual.

  4. Ali would win on points. Rocky fought a style that Ali could have countered with his long jab. Ali had a better reach and was arguably faster than Marciano.

Although, if Rocky lands a couple lucky uppercuts, Ali could be down and not getting back up.

All in all though, I would take Ali in points. Fight going the distance.

  5. To say Ali couldnt take body punches is untrue. He took all of foremans hardest shots. Ali would beat Rocky. Rocky although had a great record was overrated. Rocky only fought great fighters when they were past their prime. He fought alot of nobodys. I have watched many of his fights, and he is sloppy. Yes he he had punching power, but could he hit Ali? There is so many fight were he just throws huge punches that either miss by a mile or send him spinning and off balance.I love Rocky and dont mean to bash him, but he was not in the same league as Ali. The sport is called Boxing and Rocky was a fighter.

  6. well you can take a look at their records and fights. marciano never lost and ali lost 6 times. ali was the most boring fighter with no power and marciano is one of the (if not the hardest puncher) in boxing history. he could knock over a 500 pound hay bail with a punch, so he would probably knock ali out.

  7. ezzard charles gave rocky fits in their 2 bouts. walcott was outboxing him at age 38, so i believe ali would outbox the rock over 15 tough rounds with ali maybe hitting the canvas along the way.

  8. Rock had trouble with Archie Moore, he would have more trouble with Ali.  Ali had trouble with Frazier and Norton, and he would have had more trouble with Rock.  There are two possible outcomes to this one. Either Ali wins a decision or Rock KO's Ali, the argument is as timeless at the two fighters, and it will never end.  It shouldn't end and we wouldn't want it to end.

My opinion is Ali would decision Marciano......if Rock didn't KO Muhammad first.

  9. Rocky Marciano, it's not the size of the dog in the fight it's the fight in the dog. There is no denying Ali was a great  tactician but if he hadn't cheated against Henry Cooper his life would have turned out a lot different.

  10. Ali wins a safety-first fight by TKO on cuts.  Joe Frazier said the computer was programmed by white people, and that biased the outcome.  Every Marciano myopian points to RM's undefeated record, well, we all must congratulate him on fighting guys in the mid 30's, but in all seriousness, RM never faced a stiff challenge.  It's like when I beat my sister 50 times in a row at checkers, congrats to me, but that doesn't mean I could beat Gary Kasparov in chess.

  11. There is absolutely no doubt at all, that Ali would out box him. Crucially, however, the ultimate outcome would depend on Marciano's ability to withstand Ali's punches, and in turn, his ability to get in close to Ali, spoil his style, and rough him up. There is no doubt, that Marciano was very resilient, and had enough stamina to go fifteen rounds without flagging. So, the rope a dope trick used on Foreman, would not work.

Consequently, Ali would have kept his distance, just about successfully, I think, and would have won on points.

  12. Rocky had an 8 inch punch capable of a knockout.  He fought like a bull and could land that punch as he pulled out of any clinch.

He also could take more punishment than Ali could.

I'd bet that Rocky would win by a KO in less than ten rounds.

    Never saw the computerized version.

  13. I saw them both fight. Marciano was good but not very good. I was convinced that he was the greatest but i would have been wrong. Ali was a blue ribboned boxer While Marciano was a fighter. He would have gone out in maybe 5or 6 rounds

  14. If they were both in their prime, it would be a close one to call, but I think Marciano make take Ali.

  15. muhammed ali easily rocky marciano was too flat footed he'd never keep up with ali
