In terms of BOXING STATUS,  Rocky flushed things down the toilet that are bigger than Valuev.   However, in the ring,  Status doesn't help you.  

Razor Ruddock never held ANY version of a heavyweight title.  Do you think HE would lose to many of the Champions before Joe Louis?

Look at it realistically, now

Valuev is SIMPLY TOO BIG for Rocky.  

In Status,  TWO stand WITH Rocky, (Louis and ALI) None above..........In the ring it's an entirely different story.

you forget marciano was a 200 lb heavyweight and today 200 lbs is the cruiserweight limit. Even at 200 lbs, Marciano was MUCH smaller than current undisputed cruiserweight king David Haye. Valuev is too big for Marciano.

A fight people should be asking about is Marciano vs Holyfield at 200 lbs

Marciano would have ripped into this giant with everything but the kitchen sink.  This would have truly been a tale of the bigger they are the harder they fall.  Rocky by technical knockout in 4 rounds.

Marciano of course, he never lost a single fight, but valuev lost once

IMO, Rocky was never a 200 lb fighter. His best fighting weight was 184-188. At 5'10" tall, but with the shortest reach of any heavyweight champion,  just 68", he'd have a difficult time even coming close to reaching the giants chin.

Nevertheless, I believe that Charlie Goldman would devise a plan to have Marciano fight shorter, which he did often, bobbing ,weaving, getting underneath and pounding the arms and midsection. Valuev, would obviously, be punching down and Marciano getting hit behind the head with shots would be the big worry here. Marciano's conditioning would allow him to go on all night long. Marciano would need plently of help holding up the giant after about 7 rounds of pounding on him.
