Rocky Point Mexico Puerto Penasco, Hotels?

Hi Everyone.

Because I am a world class procrastinator, I am in a bit of a situation: Me and a friend are driving to Rocky Point, Mexico next weekend and were planning to stay at the Playa Bonita resort...except like an ***, I waited far too long to book the rooms and now they are filled up. My friend had stayed at Playa Bonita and loved it, however she can't say if there's any other good/safe hotels down there and particularly for such a bargain (the Playa Bonita rooms ran about $100 per night).Can anyone recommend some places down there? Thanks!

Keep calling the hotel becuase they have cancellations all the time.  We are going the weekend after memorial and staying at Playa Bonita and I had to call for 2 days to get a room.  My sister called for 3 days before she was able to get a room.  Although being that your going for Memorial, they just might be booked, but still try calling until the day before you leave.

Here are many of the hotels in that area. I recommend that if you want to stay in a good quality hotel, that it should be atleast $100 per night. Other than that, it won't be the great experience. Remember that Mexico isn't like the US where you can find really great hotels under $100.

just go you'll find something, try to get there on Friday you'll have more availability, on that budget you'll find something I've ner spent more than $35 per nite  2 person

One hundred dollars a night is a bargain? I like to stay in town at either the Motel Alexander or the Motel Playa Azul.both are $35 a night.  I don't care for the food at the resorts.I'd rather eat and hangout downtown.If you get a chance give the food at Kanacho's or Mariscos Lolita a try.
