Rocky Point/Puerto Penasco, Mexico???

Question

Ok, so my fiance and I are going there a few days after xmas. Will we need passports??? And what are the decent hotels there? AND... the bars and clubs? whats fun and not sketchy??

Have been there many times, never have had a problem there are more US citizens there then Mexicans! You will have a ball.  when you get there just ask any one where to go for what your wanting to do and they will point the direction, you can take a cab or drive either way you will have a wonderful time.  The bars are very safe and the partying is a blast...  I will be also going again sometime in Jan. to finish getting my teeth fixed they do a beautiful job at about 1/2 the cost or less then price in Phoenix .  Not sure what to say about the visa thing because I personally have never use one going there and have never had a problem.  my guess is that you will stop at the border and fill out some paper work to get a temp visa the cost is around 6.00 and it good for like a week +/-.   It's all good have a good time!

You will need a pass port because you are going more that 600 miles south of the border.  If it was January that you were going you would need tohave a passport to get into any part of Mexico, but that law does not come into effect until January 1st.   But since you are going 600 miles south you will need one anyways. Oh and keep a low profile.  If you look too much like a tourist you might get kidnapped and held for ransom.  Pretty much all the touristy clubs and bars are safe. Just dont go into a dark alley or ghetto part of town directly after going to a bar. Because you are increasing your chances of being kidnapped.
