has anyone been involved in this? I am thinking of doing it next summer. It involves helping construct the contenintal divide wall, and you live in tents.

I was wondering if there was a month program rather than the 2 month long one?

Also, how much money did you make per week, and did they give you some kind of award for the volunteer hours? And how do you get the $1000 scholarship tjhat goes with it?

And would the 300 hours of community service look good for a social work major even though it is service in the more environmetal field? I love the outdoors

thanks

  1. I know many people who have worked for the YCC and it has a great reputation.  All experience will increase your skills and boost your resume - if you want to do any form of wilderness or adventure work with clients this would also be a good experience.  I would go for it.
